One of my favorite bands hailing from France, this group exudes an incredible amount of energy that is contagious and fun.  With comparisons to Air and Daft Punk, Phoenix creates their own sound and personality with previous hits such as Everything Is Everything and Too Young.  Their forth album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix released on May 25, 2009, includes popular hits such as 1901 and Lisztomania.  One of my favorite songs from the album is surprisingly instrumental; check out the song “Love Like A Sunset, Pt. 1.”

Kanye after VMAs

According to CNN, Kanye offered an official apology to Taylor Swift today which she accepted.  Whether or not Kanye is playing up to his arrogant image, Kanye stunned winner Taylor Swift when he came on stage uninvited, proclaiming Beyonce’s video should have won on Sunday’s VMA Award Show.

Monday night, Kanye appeared on the Jay Leno season preimiere by explaining himeself, which seemed to have been a major ratings boost for Jay Leno as well.  I felt sad for Kanye as Jay carelessly brought up his passed mother and asked what she would say which Kanye answered with a 10 second silence holding back tears.

Is this for show or for real?

Back in April I wrote about Peter Bjorn and John’s new album release.  I do like them, Young Folks is my ringtone, but they also seemed to be loved by the hip hop community, according to this New York Magazine article titled “Rappers Love Peter Bjorn and John Like They’re Coldplay.”

I didn’t know Drake did his own version of Let’s Call It Off.
